🌱Togetherness Garden Community Day at Hawthorn Allotments🌱

A Day of Community Action

A huge thank you to all the volunteers who gave their time, energy, and support to help make the day such a success. It was inspiring to see people coming together to support the garden and strengthen community connections.

The event included:

  • Volunteering in the garden to help tidy and improve the space

  • Helping prepare the area for the Meadow of Flowers Project

  • Preparing pathways and laying bark to improve access around the garden

  • A guided tour of the permaculture garden

  • Delicious authentic Jamaican vegetable curry and refreshments

  • Time to relax, connect, and enjoy the peaceful environment together

Growing Together

We would like to thank everyone who attended, volunteered, donated, and contributed to making the day such a success. Your support continues to help build stronger community engagement and create positive, sustainable spaces for local people.

A special thank you to everyone who kindly donated boxes of wildflower seeds towards our ongoing Meadow of Flowers Project. Your generosity and support are helping us create a beautiful and welcoming natural space for the whole community to enjoy.

Further donations of wildflower seeds or wildflowers are always warmly welcomed and greatly appreciated.

A special thank you also goes to everyone involved with Hawthorns Allotment Association and City Farm Gloucester for their continued encouragement and support.

Support Needed – Topsoil Donations Welcome

As part of our ongoing Meadow of Flowers Project, we are currently looking for donations of spare topsoil.

If anyone is able to help, we would be very grateful. We are happy to collect locally, and every contribution — big or small — helps support this important community project.

Thank You

This event showed the true power of togetherness, teamwork, and community care. We look forward to many more positive events in the future.
